Frequently Asked Questions …………

Nutritional Therapy uses diet, supplements and lifestyle changes to address health issues. It addresses the underlying physiological imbalances that might be contributing to your symptoms and illness. Nutrition works at a cellular level and deficiencies or imbalances can lead to many health issues. Nutritional therapy aims to uncover and address the root cause of your health issues and not just mask your symptoms.
You would be surprised at how effective nutrition and lifestyle changes can be for a host of conditions. You might also be surprised to learn of how dietary factors might have contributed to your current health issues. If you are committed to making changes to your current diet to benefit your health then nutritional therapy is right for you. You can give us a call for a free 10 minute consultation to find out if you would benefit from nutritional therapy consultations
At the first consultation we discuss your current symptoms and your health history to identify any deficiencies and imbalances that are affecting your health. By the end of this consultation we will have put an initial plan in place for you to start your journey back to health. An initial consultation lasts between one and one and a half hours.
For Gaps (Gut and Psychology Syndrome) consultations we will discuss the way forward and a report containing all the details will be emailed to you after the consultation.
Follow up consultations  take place between six weeks and two months after the initial consultation. These sessions give us the opportunity to review your progress and make any necessary changes to the programme. Nutritional therapy is a process and programmes will need to be adapted. Follow up sessions last between thirty and forty five minutes.
This is a difficult question to answer. It depends on your severity of your health issues, how long you have had the illness/symptoms and how well you are able to apply the changes. I try to keep appointments to a minimum by holding follow-ups up to two months apart.
